Dear Tom,
It's been about one year now since we began a search
for a candidate for sales for Perceptron and I thought I'd give
you an update on how our candidate has worked out. I recall the
difficulty you had in fulfilling the specification I presented to
you. Frankly I don't recall the total number of contacts you made
and people you contacted, but I think you were into triple digits
before you presented Ray Carozza to us.
You'll recall that we immediately related to Ray.
He presented himself extremely well in the initial interview. His
approach to sales and account management, a value added, customer
intimacy approach that dovetails perfectly with Perceptron's approach
to our clients immediately identified him as a realistic candidate
for our requirements. Subsequent interviews within our company from
HR to the CEO resulted in a unanimous decision to make an offer
to Ray. And to our delightment, he accepted our offer!
Ray was immediately accepted into our organization
and has continued to assimilate very well with our departments.
He continues to surprise us with his fresh and innovative approach
to the very challenging new market opportunities we challenged him
with. Recently he succeeded in a sell to Honda, a very difficult
customer to convince when new technologies are involved. And Ray
constructed a very innovative purchase program on top of everything
else! Not only did he make the sell; he had fun doing it! We expect
many more great things from Ray as he continues to learn and develops
his customer base.
I'd like to especially provide my thanks to Profiles
and you personally for the wonderful job you did for us on this
challenging project. You listened to our requirements and us before
you began the search. Most importantly, you heard exactly what we
were after. Then you tenaciously began a search that must have been
very frustrating for you. But most importantly you succeeded in
identifying several candidates. Since we could only choose one at
the time our decision was tough. I thank you for making that decision
so tough. It's exactly the position we would want to be in when
adding a new member to our sales force!
Your staff was very professional and accommodating
to work with throughout the process. I look forward to working with
Profiles and you personally when the opportunity occurs. Keep up
